Get a behind the scenes look at Airport operations including the Airport Fire Service, their equipment and capabilities, how they operate day-to-day and in the event of an emergency on site, plus gain knowledge of other Airport functions that the public may not ever get to see.

This field day will allow participants to get an understanding of airport operations including Operations, AVSEC, Customs, MPI and the Control Tower.

We will also look at the Airport Fire trucks, equipment, PPE, simulator/training aids and discuss how they respond to incidents in and around the airport and show you what the day-to-day life of an Airport Firefighter looks like. You might even be lucky enough to go for a ride down the runway in an airport fire appliance!
